This update made a good game even better. The improved speed was much needed and is greatly appreciated.

MUCH better! The speed of the game has drastically improved. I could not expect faster play without the Palm having a faster microprocessor.
What would make it a five star rating for me would be the addition of a "tournament pinochle" scoring option. This is when the teams must make 20 points in their meld for it to even qualify as meld, and for the teams to also make a minimum of 20 during game play to even keep it. I can't say that that's the only way to score double deck, it's simply my preference. I hope I didn't sound overly derogatory in my last review, because I think even the first release was a tremendous effort on the developer's part, and this one is even better! And by the way, I'm now buying it and keeping it on my Palm. Thank you for responding so quickly.

I am very pleased that somebody came out with a Pinochle game for the Palm. Like the reviewer below, I think that it is a good game that could greatly benefit from a little improvement. First, it would be nice if the game play was faster. Second, I would like to have different options for different types of double-deck pinochle. Finally, and least significantly, I would appreciate it if the game could spell words properly when they are displayed (e.g., "marriage" is spelled "marrage" in a couple of places--anal, I know, but it does detract from the game). Overall, though, thank you for creating this game.

Being a pinochle freak, I was very excited to see this, and I think there is potential here. My chief complaint is how slow the game is. The hands take a couple seconds to refresh. Next, I'd like to see scoring options. Normally in pinochle, the team must have "x" amount of meld for it to count, and score "x" amount of points in the hand also to keep it. This system of counting any and all points is rarely used. If this game picks up speed and follows the rules, I'll not only buy it, but do everything I can to promote it as well. Good start!
