After hours and hours on trying to decide which of the other apps available would suit me, I found this one. In 5 minutes I was convinced TimeWhiz was the best. The concept of having internal/external classification as well as client numbers separate from client id's is excellent for interfacing with any other Projects software such as Oracle Projects.
The only two features that I would like to add would be: A) To be able to assign hourly rates to the project (to get cost calculation including time and expenses) and B) To be able to export reports to the external memory card, not only through the conduit.

Love this app. I would have rated it "excellent" except that HotSync crashes when trying to sync up after installing and modifying conduit as instructed.
Would love to use the report feature with my XP laptop.
This hasn't kept me from using the TimeWhiz for all my project tracking.
Thoughts on the HotSync issue?

Very useful. I use this software on a daily basis so I know where my time has gone! It's interface is fairly minimalistic, so can take time to get used to (for example, some buttons are a single character). The preferences are not all kept in one place, but do not need much tweeking anyway.
The reports section (that can export via the conduit to a csv file), is quite versatile for producing summaries for billing etc.

This is the only time keeping program (out of the Many Many programs I have found and tried) that comes close to the features I need - working for multiple clients on multiple projects with multiple time codes per project. It's missing some features I'd like (and has extra features I never need), but nothing else comes close to fitting my requirements! I still keep an eye on other time keeping programs, but I'm yet to find one that could replace TimeWhiz. I use it every day. If you're looking for a time keeping application, try TimeWhiz first!

TimeWhiz is an essential application on my Palm. I use it every day to keep track of the different projects that I'm working on as an IT consultant. It's easy to add new clients, projects, and activities, and flexible enough to accomodate different types of work. I think it's cool that after you enter hours by day, you can see a summary by week or client. Thank you, Jan, for developing a great product and for sharing it with us as freeware!
