Very superficial advice at best, mostly related to children, and the Number One killer, heart disease (heart attack) not even mentioned. Should have trialled first!

I am not yet ready to buy this product, and I will tell you why. I don't feel the product is quite ready.
I looked at several "mishaps" and found that I had to dig to find treatments. It seemed that almost all of the information on each mishap started with background information, such as why our body reacts to excess heat the way it does. This is good information, but not what I want when I am with a victim suffering from heat stoke who needs immediate help. If I have to scroll down 3 or more pages looking for treatment information, I am wasting time the victim may not have. Each mishap should start with the treatment options and have the background later. Or maybe right after entering a mishap selection you could have a choice of viewing either treatment or background information.
Another option for presenting the mishaps for selection might be a hierarchy method. If you had broad general categories, such as injuries, poisoning, reactions, and illnesses, and then broke those down into mishaps under that heading, I think it would be easier and quicker to find what you are looking for rather than having to know the correct name of a mishap and having to look for it in an alphabetical listing. Such a logical search might lead me to look for a broken arm bone by selecting, in order, Injury, Bone, Broken Bone, Arm Bone. That may be a lame example, but I think you can see how it would be faster to select a problem from a few short lists rather than having to scroll through several pages of problems.
I saw one place where it said to call 000 for an ambulance. I expect that is an Indian procedure. That does not work in the United States. We would call 911. I wonder if there are other places in your program where a significant difference exists based on the nation where it is used.
I have been trained in First Aid for several years and by differenct organizations. I did not see an error in Palm Aid for proper treatments. But I feel it fails as a QUICK reference for determining first aid treatment. Note the emphasis on QUICK. I think the program has very good potential for being a quick reference and guide, but it does not deliver that product yet for me.

As a 40+ palm program user, I have seen the Good, Bad and Ugly of programs. This gem however is a keeper. I have First Aid and CPR training for 10+ years and this program raised the bar for performance. Well written and walks you through any situation. This is a must have on your Palm unit for everyone. Thanks for a terrific program!

I had a problem with the demo version of this software, but the authors were very helpful in getting it solved. This is a useful program, and I look forward to seeing it expanded to cover additional medical emergencies.
